Real Americans

The in-laws have been gone for almost a week, now, so I am late as usual getting to the post.  I really enjoyed having them in town.  There are several things that Beth and I would not have been able to do without them.  For example, driving to wine country would not have gone as smoothly.  Beth would have probably left me at one the many roundabouts that we encountered.  Beth and I probably would not have done the gondola ride in Venice (sorta expensive), even though it is a must.  Not to mention all of the great meals that they treated us to.  It has definitely been different without them here.  It seems there is something everyday that we say, what would Wyly or Jennifer do about that.  I am grateful that they were able to visit and that we had such a good time.  I am grateful that they have always made me feel welcome, as if I was always part of the family.  I hope that I never take having such great in-laws for granted.  Not everyone is as lucky as I am.
