This is culture week in Florence, so all of the museums have free entry. Typically, we would probably not go to all of the museums since neither of us know that much about art, but why not take advantage of the free entry? Yesterday we wend to the Boboli Gardens. It is not a typical garden that you would think about in the states. Rather it is basically a statue garden. There were a lot of hedges, trees and fountains, but no flowers or anything that is typical of a garden in the states. All in all it was pretty cool. We stopped at a market beforehand and grabbed some paninis to take with us to eat there. The gardens go straight up in altitude when you walk in the gate and there are great views of Florence at the top. The place was huge and it would take a couple of hours to walk the whole thing so we will have to go back and check out what we didn't see yesterday. There are several walkways that are covered by the trees on either side that bend at the top of the walkway. The weather couldn't have been better. For once, since we got here, it wasn't rainy and cold.- WN
