our day went like this...

Yesterday, Wynn and I wandered around Piazza Santo Spirito and checked out the church there. The architecture of it is very different from other churches around the city. It is a very cool neighborhood. More local, less touristy. We went to a caffe' that had great atmosphere. The juke box had Cat Stevens and some Italian stuff. Italians are funny in their selections of American music.
After that, we went to the Scuola di Cuoio (leather school). It is in the back of Basilica Santa Croce, which is the big church around where we live. I loved it. You can see the students crafting all sorts of leather items. It is also in such a pretty building. I saw some things that could fit into my closet nicely.

Last night, we made reservations for a wine tasting at Gola e Cantina. It was a little different than the wine tasting in Delta. The waiter served us many different tastings and explained each in detail. He was extremely informative. Now, Wynn and I think we know something about wine. More than we did before anyway. I wonder if this is going to ruin our cheap wine buys from Trader Joe's when we return.
