Ciao, Florence

We left ATL tues afternoon and after about 9 hours of listening to the guy across the aisle from us vomit, we were glad to arrive in Rome. Other than the vomiting (which I am sure was way worse for the guy doing it) it was fairly uneventful. That is a good thing for Wynn and me. Usually, we are in a mad rush to make our flight.

We arrived in Florence and took a cab to our "flat". The cab ride was extremely eventful. We decided that we probably shouldn't drive here. Our cab driver yelled "ding dong" out the window at some people standing in the street to get them out of the way, but it appears that most do not do that. They just practically run over you. Wynn is pretty sure I am going to get run over.

We checked into our apartment. It was still being cleaned, so we walked and got coffee then went back. It is a really cute, small apartment. Very Italian. Will post pics of it after I take some. Mariano came by the flat to tell us he would be back the next day to clean the air conditioning unit. He is the cutest little Italian man. He wears suspenders and kept apologizing that his English is bad. We kept trying to apologize back to him for knowing such little Italian. After all, we are in his country. Wynn was very jet lagged yesterday, so we napped then just grabbed slices of pizza around the corner and a bottle of wine for 6 euros. Wynn barely had a glass before he was sleeping again.
